Number of RIA firms using Schwab OpenView Gateway jumps 83% year-over-year

Schwab Intelligent Technologies announced today that Orion Advisor Services, LLC., a premier portfolio accounting service provider, and Redtail Technology, a leader in web-based client relationship management (CRM) solutions, will participate in Schwab OpenView Gateway, the flexible, open-architecture technology platform that enables integration between Charles Schwab custody systems and those of participating technology providers supporting independent registered investment advisors.

Financial industry leaders Joel Bruckenstein and David Drucker are encouraging financial advisors nationwide to attend the tenth annual T3 Technology Conference for financial advisory firms of all sizes. More than half of independent registered investment advisor (RIA) (53%) staff view technology as a front office function – a key strategy for delivering a high-quality client experience, while building scale and differentiation for the firm – according to results of a survey of registrants at Schwab Advisor Services’ SOLUTIONS® workshops this past summer. In the survey, representing responses from more than 1,000 RIA firm staff, Schwab sought perspective on the changing role of technology in the advisor business and the related impacts on the client experience.

Schwab Announces Roll Out of Schwab OpenView Mobile Enabling RIAs to Quickly Deliver a Branded Mobile Presence for Their Firms

After a successful pilot, Schwab Performance Technologies^® (SPT) announced today the roll out of Schwab OpenView Mobile, a customizable app that RIAs can use to create a turnkey, branded mobile presence for their firms, enabling 24/7 connection with clients. SPT will work with participating firms to create the firm-branded app and each firm will then submit their app to Google Play and iTunes App Stores.
