Total Rebalance Expert Spins Off Portfolio Management System

Total Portfolio Expert to become independent company, acquired by key employee and re-branded as PowerAdvisor

Sheryl Rowling, CEO of Total Rebalance Expert (TRX) announced today the sale of the Total Portfolio Expert (TPX) portfolio management system to Andrew Kehoe, a long-standing, key employee.

After the acquisition of TRX by Morningstar earlier this year, all parties agreed that it would in the best interests for the clients of TPX to remain as an independent company. As part of this agreement, Kehoe will acquire TPX, become its Chief Executive Officer and will re-brand TPX to its former name, PowerAdvisor.

“Having worked with Power Advisor in multiple roles from its early days, I know our clients and the system inside and out,” said Kehoe. “I am confident in my ability to lead the new company and am excited to continue to invest in the platform to best serve our clients.”

Some of the new platform enhancements that will be delivered include web reporting, a client portal and enhanced reports for billing. PowerAdvisor provides a comprehensive portfolio accounting, performance reporting and portfolio management system for independent advisors.

“I have been extremely impressed with Andrew’s commitment to advisors and his knowledge of the key technologies they rely on to manage their businesses,” said Rowling. “I know that the clients of PowerAdvisor are in very good hands and look forward to continue to partner with PowerAdvisor on our integrations.”
